The Sultana Chair: A Mulhauser Masterpiece

Sultana Chairs: Bentwood chairs designed by George Mulhauser for Plycraft Corp, USA, 1965.

George Mulhauser previously worked for George Nelson Studio designing furniture for Herman Miller and helped create the Coconut chair. He then went on to work for Plycraft, an innovative furniture company famed for the Cherner armchair and their use of moulded plywood designs.
