Designed in 1970 by Studio65 a group of Italian architects, the iconic Bocca lips sofa first came to the worlds attention in NY in 1972 at the MOMA’s groundbreaking exhibition ‘Italy: A new domestic landscape’. The sofa was a tribute to Salvador Dali’s 1937 surrealist Mae West Lips sofa. This edition was manufactured by Edra who produced the sofa in limited quantities over a two year period from 1999 to 2000.
